If you want to travel to Malta from the UAE, you must apply for a tourist visa at a Malta embassy or visa center at least 15 days before departure.

Who can apply for a Malta Tourist Visa in the UAE?

Anyone who is residing in one of the seven UAE emirates, has a valid UAE residence card (valid for at least three months), and is not ineligible for a Schengen visa.

Types of Malta Visas

Tourist Visa

With a Tourist Visa from Malta, you can visit the Schengen region for a limited time (no longer than 90 days every six months).
It’s critical to understand the requirements for the visa while applying for a Malta Schengen visa from the UAE. Following the 90/180 rule, the visa permits a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day period in Malta and the Schengen Area.
Malta is eligible to receive one of two types of Schengen visas, each with certain requirements. The first type of visa allows you to go to Malta and the entire Schengen Area just once while it is valid.

Business Visa

This authorization, also referred to as the Malta Schengen business visa, is given to visitors coming to Malta with the intention of conducting business. The country does not require a visa for citizens of other Schengen countries or states with visa-free agreements with Malta. The business visa can be obtained as a single-entry, double-entry, or multiple-entry document and is valid for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

The processing time for the application at the Embassy takes minimum 14 working days. Please be advised that due to the above mentioned minimum processing time, we are not able to guarantee the return of your passports by specific dates for travel. Visa fees:

The visa fee is approximately AED399 – AED499 per passport, depending on the additional services taken at the application center. The visa fee is paid separately on the day of your appointment.
